Caju Swim brings swimwear with color, vibrancy and the joy of the Brazilian soul.
Caju is one of the most well-loved and most iconic fruits of Brazil's northeast, where the tree originated and has been cultivated for centuries. Its English name derives from the Portuguese name for the fruit of the cashew tree.
Our first collection is a tribute to RIo de Janeiro, Brazil, and although I wasn't born in Rio I love that city! It's an incredible melting pot of cultural textures and many breathtaking emotional landscapes. The city is pure lust and sunshine. The people, the bodies, the heat invites you to be sexy. To feel sexy.

COPACABANA HEAT COLLECTION

  • The Sidewalk. The absolute incredible artist Roberto Burle Marx, created the most famous sidewalk of Brazil, we call it "calçadao de Copacabana" and its design is a source of inspiration for many generations! We pay homage to the modernist with our Copacabana String Bikini and the versatile Copacabana Windbreaker.
  • Flower Power. The Botanical Garden of Rio de Janeiro is an ecological sanctuary. It houses rare species of plants of Brazilian flora and it is one of the best places for birdwatching. King John VI of Portugal founded The Botanical Garden in 1808. Today, it has around 6,500 species of flora distributed throughout an area of 54 hectares.
  • Party time. Many of our designs were inspired by simple everyday life moments, like the ocean waves, sunsets, water, and the colors that are everywhere in the fauna and flora of the Atlantic forest! Carnival also lent us a huge amount of inspiration. The Carnival in Rio de Janeiro is a festival held every year before Lent; it is considered the biggest carnival in the world, with two million people per day on the streets parading and dancing with incredibly elaborate costumes.

Brazil beyond Rio

The little town of Trancoso, in the south of Bahia, has captured the attention and stolen the hearts of many travelers. Since it was discovered by Europeans in the 1500s, it has been through various incarnations to become a holiday spot beloved of Brazilian bigwigs, celebrities, models, pop stars and tourists.
Trancoso is a district in the municipality of Porto Seguro in the state of Bahia, Brazil. Once a small fishing village, the town is now known for its beaches and has increased in popularity since gaining international attention around 2000 while retaining an eco-friendly appeal. One of the features that makes Trancoso so charming and so friendly is the Quadrado. It is a rough rectangle of grass edged by ancient trees that shelter brightly colored fishermen’s houses. Painted in shocking pink, daffodil yellow and cobalt blue, the houses are all built similarly, tiled and one story high, some with split stable doors which are often left open.
The Quadrado is for everyone and frequently there are children playing, football games going on, animals grazing or people making their way from the town to the beach. It feels like a way of life lost in time.

Andre Schneider is an award-winning fashion, beauty, and portrait photographer in New York City. Born in Brazil, Andre started fiddling with photography when he was 13 years old, and at 15 he already had his bathroom turned into a darkroom to develop his photos. Because there wasn’t any photography college in Brazil, he ended up studying advertising and went to be an art director in advertising agencies both in Brazil and then in New York before turning back to his true passion of photography.
